Museum console in mahogany and mahogany veneer decorated with sheathed cariatides and ice background, resting on a base with plinth. Rectangular in shape, the pilaster back legs, anterior pillars ended by the heads of caryatids, welcome an entablature capped with a white and gray marble veined. A belt decorated in its center with two sea dragons drinking at a fountain then, on either side, a stylized lotus flower surrounded by foliage. Marine dragons, which are rarely found in ornamentation, recall those of the Neptune basin and the Plat-fond at the castles of Versailles and Trianon.
The cariatid heads and the golden bronzes trim are of an exceptional quality of carving rarely visible on the market. This is similar to the work of Pierre-Philippe Thomire.
 
Its rectangular shape, elegant and sober, joins the characteristics of the consoles of the Empire era marked by a return to a certain simplification, sculptures more or less abundant, a more architectural structure.
 
The model presented has great similarities with several consoles by Jacob Desmalter and Bernard Molitor:
